We are looking for a Lead Payroll Specialist Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking a Payroll Specialist on a direct-hire basis.

Responsibilities: Perform accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and/or salaried team members. Utilize ADP and Central Reach systems for time and attendance gathering. Process and review off-cycle checks, as needed. Review pre-payroll reports for all hourly and/or salaried payrolls, for errors and omissions. Support bi-weekly payroll processing, comparing, and balancing which includes researching discrepancies and making corrections. Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions in a timely manner. Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of improvements for internal processes. Analyze transactions for regulatory compliance in accordance with policies, procedures, and federal/state laws. Assist the payroll tax function, including partnering with other departments and/or third-party administrators to ensure timely filing of payroll tax returns and amendments and researching tax notices, and overseeing weekly auditing processes and updates of payroll tax records. Adhere to payroll internal controls, company policies and procedures, and practices. Stay abreast of multi-state regulatory requirements and company policies. Requirements:
