BLUEGRASS YOUTH BALLET IS SEARCHING FOR A DEVELOPMENT/MARKETING DIRECTOR.

Jessica Klanderud Careers@bluegrassyouthballet.org Development & Marketing Job Responsibilities Plan and evaluate all fundraising campaigns and activities in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director Develop, update, and implement a strategic plan for each ballet season, as well as five- and ten-year long-term range plans Identify and steward prospective donors, both corporate and individual Build and maintain a donor database, and use prospect research tools to build donor relationships Recruit and train fundraising staff and event volunteers Manage and oversee all fundraising events, including any volunteer staff Generate development materials such as grant proposals and reporting Research and stay on top of fundraising trends in the non-profit community Create marketing materials in line with the general mission and message for each season Work with BYB’s Director and others to implement a consistent message for the organization and its needs Create and maintain our sponsorship package Communicate with donors and staff in person and via email, phone, and social media; answer all inquiries promptly Coordinate and engage in community outreach activities and initiatives under the guidance of the Executive Director Job Description Part-time (20-30 hours per week); transition to full-time position possible Hourly pay negotiable It may be partially remote - the number of hours required in-office to be discussed and set by the Executive Director Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required Previous experience with development, marketing, and donor recruitment strongly recommended Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Time management and flexibility with job duties Expertise with fundraising activities, tools, and software Creative, self-starter attitude
