Unlock your potentialJob Summary and QualificationsThe Mental Health Professional III is to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy.What you will do in this Role:Conducts one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups.Develops treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.Assesses environment and patient’s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.Identifies risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).Completes assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated.What Requirements you will need to meet:Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited university requiredBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateNonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCurrent Missouri Licensure for independent clinical practice (LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT) within 90 days of hire datePrior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient settingPrefer experience with case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.Research Medical Centeris a 585+ bed hospital.
