About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations and help to establish a best in class accounting function at Way. Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

The Senior Accountant is extremely detail oriented and understands that every transaction is important and must be accurately recorded to give the business transparency on performance and resource allocation. Time management and organization within the role is paramount. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the operations of our business, ensuring our data and documentation is accurate at all times.

What you'll do

Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable

Analyze, reconcile, and follow up on AR aging

Prepare and post monthly journal entries

Continually improve and automate existing processes

Verify reconciliations are finalized and reconcile all account balances thoroughly

Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for US and France based entities

Analyze and prepare billing for monthly refunds and disputes

Review source documentation to ensure revenue has been correctly calculated

Ensure new contracts, renewals, and churn are properly reflected across all systems

Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required

What you need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

CPA preferred

Minimum 3 years of experience

Excellent knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets

Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS

Proactive nature and ability to work independently

Analytical, meticulous and deadline driven

Prior experience handling a high volume of revenue transactions

High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Experience with QuickBooks Online required, experience with Maxio preferred

Experience in SaaS industry preferred
