Maintain all aspects of the guestroom, public areas, shops and common areas to ensure a luxury experience. Serve as a support to the Housekeeping management team to enhance the guest experience.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform a variety of cleaning activities which include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, disposing trash and making bedsMaintain professional etiquette with all guests and employeesBe knowledgeable of all hotel services, hotel features, local attractions and history of the InnMust greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own homeMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasClean and replenish public area restrooms and administrative office restroomsResponsible for overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness of all public areasPerform all laundry duties, such as washing, drying, folding and steaming of terry and robesEnsure all linen closets are stocked and consistently replenished as neededSweep, wipe down and mop all guestroom building porchesRemove trash from public areas and administrative officesSweep, mop, dust and vacuum the main dining room after breakfast serviceClean all common areas of assigned guestroom buildingsMaintain cleanliness and replenish items as needed in all guestroom buildingsComplete inventory of Housekeeping itemsCommunicate any items that fall below designated PAR levelsAssist Housekeepers with cleaning rooms as neededComplete all items on the daily checklist and submit to Housekeeping SupervisorComplete all assigned projects by the Housekeeping SupervisorBe anticipatory of guest needs and respond to guest inquiries in timely and professional mannerCommunicate maintenance issues or repair of items related to guestrooms and public areas to the Housekeeping supervisorAbility to take constructive criticism to help improve faultsAttend department meetings as requiredMust meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactionsMust follow all disinfecting and sanitization policiesQUALIFICATIONSRequired6 months to 1 year of Housekeeping experienceMust be able to work weekends and have a flexible work scheduleExcellent communication skillsMust be at least 16 years of ageMust be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoosDesirableFamiliarity with Forbes StandardsAbility to communicate with a language other than English, preferably Spanish or FrenchPrior experienced working in a 4 or 5 star luxury propertySKILLSAbility to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks in a timely mannerAbility to work independently, as well as in a close team environmentAbility to use standard housekeeping equipment, which include, but not limited to, a linen cart, vacuum, mop, broom and various chemicals for cleaningAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performanceStrong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to speak using clear and professional languageAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when neededMust always be compliant with quality assurance expectations and standardsAbility to complete assigned work in a timely mannerPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift 30+ lbs.Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of timeFrequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing**The Inn at Little Washington is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
