Speaks Law Firm is looking for a highly motivated and organized Senior Paralegal who can assist our growing team in Charlotte, by taking it to the next level. We are headquartered in Wilmington, NC and have a team of attorneys and legal support in Charlotte. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of case management experience specific to personal injury and a minimum of (2) years of supervisory experience. This position will report to our Charlotte office and hours of work are Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30. No phone calls please.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionalsDemonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversightMaintain updated lien and balance information in assigned filesCommunicate with insurance and health adjusters regarding demand packages, policies, liens, and payment logsVerify client's insurance coverage and how coverages applyRequest and review client documents including medical records, bills, and health insurance liensUnderstand subrogation and rule 414 payment/adjustments to review liens and balance sheets for accuracyConduct routine client contact regarding case updates, treatment, coverage investigations, etc.Supervise a pre litigation team of four case managers, two legal assistants, and one balance clerkComplete systematic file review of demand packages prepared by your teamManage file count and file rotation within your teamProvide consistent support and timely resolution of file issues within your teamComplete biweekly 1:1 meetings with your teamEnsure goal and KPI reporting in PerformyardTrack medical management, demand production, and case count of your team Qualifications:Associate's degree or higher preferredParalegal Certificate a plusMust be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pmStrong organizational skills and attention to detailIntermediate to advanced computer skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders, clients and staffUnderstand legal language and principles, and other related processesNeedles/Neos case management software experience a plusCompensation:The is a non-exempt salary position.
