Responsibilities

Position Summary:
  • This position regularly performs a variety of complex duties involving review or processing which regularly requires the interpretation and application of specialized technical or program knowledge and exercises a high degree of independence initiative and originality with little day to day supervision
  • This position may also perform some secretarial duties as well as work on special projects and/or as lead persons in scheduling training and assisting less experienced staff in the performance of the departments' needs
Special skills required:
  • Knowledge of clinical hospital staffing, hospital organization operations and functions
  • Use of computer word processing and database applications
  • Excellent communication skills by telephone in person and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and maintain records and information
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications

Required:
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical experience required
Preferred :
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Hospital staffing experience preferred
Special skills required:
