We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our large Pulmonary clinic located in the Gateway district of NE Portland (near the MAX line). You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care. Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for a candidate that is a self-starter, with a positive attitude, who can work independently, and has a customer-focused work ethic. Primary duties include accurately scheduling appointments for new and established patients in an efficient and timely manner, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, updating records as needed, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of medical front office experience. Workdays will be Monday-Friday. No weekendsHiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:Level I - $18.33- $24.81 per hour.Level II - $20.17 - $27.29 per hour.Level III - $22.18 - $30.01 per hour.Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties.Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience strongly preferred.Knowledge of basic computer applications; proficiency in Microsoft Suite preferred.Excellent phone skills and customer service skillsExcellent attendance and work ethicPositive attitude and desire to be a team playerAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providersAdditional Benefits:Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + 8 paid holidaysGenerous 401(k) retirement planFlexible Spending Account Robust Wellness ProgramsPet Insurance70% of Tri-Met pass coveredLots of discounts to local stores and activitiesThis description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
