Job Description

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting & Finance team. This individual analyzes and records expenses in coordination with business unit finance and project management functions, performs balance sheet reconciliations, and assists in financial reporting and controls, audit preparation, and other projects.

Performs analyses of the firm’s direct and indirect operating expenses, actual to budget cost variances, and cost trends of basic to moderate complexity to verify that revenues and expenses and related financial data are appropriately recorded in the general ledger. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Performs other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. 2 years of experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting practices and principles. Experience and ability to use Microsoft Excel and other related Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Oracle R12 and Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion), a plus. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion. EEO Statement
