Position Summary: We are looking for a revenue and KPI focused Email/SMS Marketing Manager to be responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimization of the entire customer lifecycle through multi-touchpoint email/SMS campaigns for multiple customer segments and brands.
The Email/SMS Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all email/SMS marketing efforts, which include planning content, promotions, product announcements, split testing subject lines and email/SMS content, automations, segmenting the list, and pre and post purchase engagement. Additional responsibility includes planning and supervising promotions to drive revenue.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of the email and SMS development process including - campaign definition, business/campaign goals, creative brief and copy requirements development, audience selection, data selection, briefing creatives, building ad-hoc and triggered campaigns with high variability (both batch and real-time) with various stakeholders and agency partners.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Drive all facets of email marketing strategy, campaign planning and execution.
- Develop and maintain email databases for lead generation, employing data-driven strategies to expand the subscriber base, and create tailored campaigns that maximize customer engagement and revenue generation.
- Use of internal and external data sources and signals to segment, target and retarget customers.
- Design blueprints for automated customer journeys and drip campaigns including:
- Acquisition: Lead Management, Lead Nurturing, Sales Promotions, Website Browse and Website/Shopping Cart Abandonment.
- Retention: Onboarding/Welcome series, Newsletters, and Renewal campaigns.
- Service improvement: Transactional emails and Service Alerts to keep the customer informed from order through post-installation review and referral.
- B2B: Improve, personalize, and streamline communication for our direct sales team and their prospects and clients.
- Align campaigns with seasonal trends and consumer insights enhancing product visibility and sales through well-timed and captivating promotions.
- Continuously test and experiment with new campaign ideas and strategies to improve retention and engagement rates providing analysis of campaigns and recommendations for ongoing optimization
- Develop an annual promotions calendar that integrates the needs of all departments, considers all potential promotional opportunities and addresses industry trends utilizing available data.
- Leverage market analysis to pinpoint opportunities for discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs that appeal to the target demographic, increasing online and sales channel engagement.
- Prepare detailed reports on the sales revenue generated from marketing efforts, presenting findings to stakeholders. Use these insights to continuously refine strategies and enhance the impact of campaigns on the bottom line.
- Implement, lead, and manage SMS, mobile push alerts and other touchpoints to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper compliance for email and other digital marketing communications.
- Provide additional digital marketing support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience with Email Marketing (testing, capture rate, conversion rate, retention) in an online retail environment.
- B2C and B2B experience
- Proven track record of using email to improve ecommerce conversion rates.
- Experience with creating and executing email and SMS campaigns in platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.)
- Experience using HubSpot or other databases to segment customers. (Marketo, Zendesk, or SalesForce, a Plus)
- Must be able to set up automations, queries, triggered sends, journeys and scheduled sends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, with close attention to detail.
