Senior Integration Technician

**Job Description Overview:** As a Senior Integration Technician, you will be responsible for the integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of TransPower's medium duty and heavy duty electric hybrid vehicles, energy storage, and associated charging equipment. The position will support vehicle commissioning, integration, diagnosing operational problems, and repairing equipment for vehicles and equipment in-house as well as in the field. Physical demands include but are not limited to bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, some heavy lifting, and maneuvering over, under, and around vehicles and equipment to service, maintain, and repair.

**Core Responsibilities:**

Integrate, commission, repair, troubleshoot, and service medium and heavy duty electric hybrid vehicle systems and equipment.

Maintain good communication with internal and external staff.

Complete assigned work accurately and in a timely fashion.

Train and assist entry-level technicians.

Local and occasional overnight travel may be required.

**Required Qualifications:**

5 years of related work experience.

Technical experience in the automotive diesel field.

Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Technical knowledge and skills with electrical wiring, circuit testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical electrical systems.

Ability to read schematics, diagnose electrical issues, and use tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Problem resolution and analytical skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Technical Degree in a related field.

Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Experience with vehicle hybrid or electric drive systems.

High voltage systems training or certifications.

Experience in repairing high voltage components.

This job will have the candidate rotating between the production floor, TransPower vehicles, and an office environment and thus requires a person who enjoys that diversity. The position will require some travel to support vehicles deployed at customer locations.

**Core Responsibilities:**

Use MotoHawk Model-based tool chain for controls development.

Develop and test advanced automotive products.

Work on medium and heavy duty vehicle platforms.

Program embedded components when required.

Update electrical schematics with Microsoft Visio.

**Required Qualifications:**

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering experience minimum 7 years.

Experience in Model-Based Controls Development.

Controls Rapid Prototyping and Development.

Experience in closed-loop testing of control models.

Troubleshooting experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, multi meters, Vector CANalyzer, and general problem-solving.
