About This Opportunity
FPA is currently searching for a full-time Project Engineer Bridge for our Wall Township, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have solid experience looking to challenge themselves on a professional level on a variety of transportation projects.

- Develop design plans for a variety of transportation improvement projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation Software
- Complete design reports and calculations for bridge design tasks
- Develop construction cost estimates and project specific specifications
- Coordinate with all applicable regulatory agencies and utilities
- Complete assignments independently with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with staff within the transportation group and across various other disciplines on larger projects
- Delegate tasks to staff engineers and monitor their work
- Assist the Project Manager in the development and monitoring of the project schedule, budget, and staffing needs
- Actively participate in client contact and communications
- Work with management on proposals and business development as needed
- Perform construction inspection of Contractor's work
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of related work experience in transportation engineering
- EIT required, PE (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation design software
- Familiar with NJDOT / AASHTO / NJTA design standards and guidelines
- Highly motivated and eager to work on a diverse range of transportation improvement projects for local, county, and state agencies
- Willingness to represent FPA at professional societies and technical seminars
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience should include the design of transportation improvement project in New Jersey.
- Valid driver's license
