We are assisting our client based in Independence for a Controller. This is a great Direct Hire opportunity

Our client is rapidly growing and is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for real estate accounting and reporting to join their team This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious high performing team.

The position involves reviewing property accounting, preparing financial reporting, month-end close process and CAM reconciliations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manages the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements and invoicing/billing.
  • Lead with property tax appeal process.
  • Responsible for CAM reconciliations.
  • Performs all company specific month-end and year end reporting, including closing, budgeting, forecasting, income statement and balance sheet analysis.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Manage the team and ensure accuracy of work.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of property accounting GAAP knowledge.
  • Relevant experience in commercial office and industrial real estate property accounting and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills including Excel.
  • Yardi or MRI experience.
  • Real Estate experience preferred.
