Job description Position: Front Office Patient Care Coordinator & Office Manager Location: We are a small family-owned private practice with locations in Atascadero and San Luis Obispo. This position is Monday to Thursday and based in our San Luis Obispo office with a requirement to work an occasional Friday in our Atascadero location as needed and for monthly staff meetings. Hours may increase as needs change for our practice. Ideal Candidate Qualities: We are looking for a dynamic, customer service and sales-oriented person who wants to please people. We need someone with high energy and passion who enjoys working in a growing business. The candidate must be prompt, dependable, articulate, and at ease on a computer with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Outlook email, as well as possess excellent communication skills – both written and oral. We need someone willing and able to drop what they are doing at a moment’s notice and move on to a new task, but who can get back to the previous task seamlessly. We require someone who is fun, outgoing, and has a zest for life and pride in the work they perform. This person must also be organized, focused, and a self-starter who is willing to work alone one day and with others the next. Our clientele is mostly the senior population. Experience and desire to work with seniors are beneficial. Job Description: Front desk Patient Care Coordinator & Office Manager position with varying duties from day to day. Coordinate & manage the provider’s schedule File and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Supervise & coordinate all inter-office communication Identify & handle equipment & facility issues Check patients in and out of appointments & process payments Verify & calculate insurance benefits & submit insurance claims Maintain contact with patients via telephone, text, email, & US Mail Perform light bookkeeping duties: accounts receivable, financial transactions & bank deposits Strong ability to greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner on both the telephone and in person Make warm sales calls to persons who have been prospective customers in the past Perform some light marketing duties and attend occasional community events Order patient products and supplies Inventory & order supplies for front office, janitorial, breakroom & provider supplies Perform general office upkeep & light housekeeping There may be room for advancement in the future for the right candidate Requirements: Must be willing to work part-time Monday to Thursday 6-8 hours per day with some flexibility. 28-32 hours per week most weeks. Will need to work in our Atascadero location for sick and vacation relief. May need to work an occasional Friday. Must own a reliable vehicle and possess automobile insurance. Salary & Benefits: Available health insurance, paid sick, vacation & holiday pay plus 401k retirement. The starting salary range is $21-$25 per hour depending upon experience.
