Description

  • Serve as Level 1 Service Desk support for all service requests/tickets
  • Provide end-user technical support including troubleshooting and administration of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and telephony.
  • Coordinate preparation and installation of new computing equipment as well as upgrading and repairing existing computer equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, understanding, and logical troubleshooting
  • Provide detailed documentation regarding steps taken to resolve issues and fulfill requests in the form of incident diary entries, knowledge base and wiki articles
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
  • Manage and maintain IT inventory including hardware, software, phones, cell phones and printers
  • Collaborate with other employees, consultants, and vendors to maintain standards and functionality
  • Assist with IT projects/tasks and duties as assigned by IT Manager
  • Occasional travel to branch offices to trouble-shoot and/or install new equipment (company vehicle provided for such visits)

Requirements

Knowledgeable in the following:

  • The Ability to Port-forward/Program a Switch
  • The ability to GUI into a Switch/Router remotely
  • The ability to program a Router
  • The ability to set up a server or like Windows-based device
  • Familiarity with setting up an account in Active Directory
  • VOIP skillset, including programming IP phones
  • Setting up and troubleshooting printer network malfunctions
  • TCP/IP printer knowledge
  • Familiarity with monitoring server diagnostics.
  • Resolving Software/Hardware issues
  • Familiarity with installing and setting VPN tunnels
  • Must be able to crimp and test CAT5 and 6 cables with boots
  • Must be able to use a voltameter and have general low-voltage knowledge.
  • Experience with workstation support

  • Setting up remote domain tunnels
  • AVAYA phone system knowledge
  • Experience as a Desktop Technician
  • Clean MVRRequire an Associate's Degree or Higher in a related area and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in network management and help desk support
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver with great organization skills, communicating necessary information to supervisors, as well as making suggestions for improving operations as necessary.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize problems when handling multiple cases
  • Self-starter, energetic, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to quickly learn complex technical issues
  • Experience with security camera networking is a plus
  • Pass a background check and drug screening
