Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Quality Metrology Engineer located in Austin, Tx Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Metrology Engineer r ole combines knowledge and skills in Mechanical Engineering, 3D CAD, manufacturing, dimensional measurement and data processing to automate measurement and reporting process. This position is most suited for a candidate seeking a career in advanced manufacturing and mechanical engineering What a typical day looks like: Programs and troubleshoots CMMs Documents inspection setups and develops work instructions, and inspection plans. Develops alternative methods for inspection Design tools, fixtures jigs, and aids for measurement needs Analyzes reports and assesses conformance of products. The experience we’re looking to add to our team, 3-5 years of quality metrology engineering experience Mechanical Engineering experience or degree 3D CAD skills (Solidworks, Creo, NX or similar) Manual inspection equipment experience Here are a few of our preferred experiences: Drawing interpretation skills and familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards Proficiency in use of hand measuring tools such as: calipers, micrometers, bore gages, pin gages, plug gages, etc. Any other dimensional metrology experience would be considered an advantage (Vision systems, Optical/laser scanning experience, point cloud processing) What you’ll receive for the great work you provide: Full range of medical benefits, dental, vision Life Insurance Matching 401K PTO Tuition Reimbursement Employee discounts at local retailers Job Category Quality Is Sponsorship Available?
