Our client, an RF-focused company based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities include overseeing quality control, performing internal inspections, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production teams. The role requires experience in mechanical engineering and familiarity with military standards. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.


The salary for role is $115k - $135k and our client is also offering dental, vision, health and life insurance, a 401k plan and PTO.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage quality control and assurance processes to ensure product excellence, including monitoring and controlling manufacturing procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections and internal audits of manufacturing processes, documenting and updating both new and existing procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, troubleshoot and resolve quality issues, and lead investigations into non-conformance and root cause analysis.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and approving job and project reports, ensuring compliance with relevant certifications, laws, and regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality control protocols, and support manufacturing efficiency and adherence to customer requirements.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven background in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and military standards, particularly MIL 38535 & MIL 38534.
  • Proficiency in mechanical engineering or materials science, with a focus on quality engineering aspects.
  • Expertise in packaging related to electrical engineering, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Competence with measurement tools such as gauges, meters, and calipers.
  • Ability to read schematics, and proficient in documentation and reporting.
