Overview:

The Mfg Engineer II: Plans, designs and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures. Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources and structural design. Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements

Major Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
  • Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.


Basic Qualifications:

Required Education: Associates Degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Major: General Engineering or specialized Engineering degree required (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical engineering)

Years of Experience: 2-4 years experience in a relevent function

Skills, certification, abilities and attributes required: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of precision machining manufacturing processes, and proficiency in Siemens NX CAD/CAM software is essential. In-depth understanding of AS9100 quality management system, statistical process control, and OSHA safety requirements. Additionally, lean manufacturing knowledge, communication skills and the ability to work in a team are crucial for coordinating with various departments in the manufacturing process. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Travel Requirements: Likely less than 25%
