Southwest Convenience Stores is seeking candidates for the position of **Food Service Manager in Training** to oversee operations of our new ***Muy Sabroso*** food concept located at **8700 Andrews Hwy - Midland, TX.** In this role, the Manager supports our employees ensuring delivery of superior service and products to maximize profits. The Manager performs functions to ensure that staff are selected, trained, counseled and rewarded to maintain performance standards while ensuring our food products are handled and served with the utmost care and quality to our customers.

We provide materials along with hands on learning under the supervision of a seasoned Food Service Manager.

**Job Summary:**

Responsible for on-going activities related to the successful operation of a retail store that has a restaurant/food preparation area. Engages in food prep activities. Ensures inventory is stocked, and maintains the cleanliness of the store. Provides customer service and engages in financial transactions.

**Job Responsibilities:**

-responsible for teaching and role modeling proper customer service and plus selling techniques

-communicating sales and profitability goals to store associates and providing feedback

-responsible for meeting and exceeding store budget and sales volumes

-strong knowledge of food handling, food safety and compliance with health codes.

-understanding of the P and L and how to impact the stores' district and company performance.

**Required Qualifications Education, Skills & Experience:**

3 years of experience working in a retail environment. Prior management experience or a university/vocational degree preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications Education, Skills & Experience:**

-Minimum 2 years experience working in retail environment

-high diploma or GED

-1 year previous customer service experience

-knowledgeable of P and L

**Organizational Leveling:**

Store Manager - Manages a retail store to ensure operational and financial success. Sets daily and weekly priorities for the team and ensures task completion. Provides coaching to store employees and manages their performance, including the disciplinary process. Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager. May occasionally perform work of the store associates.
