This position encompasses acute care, long term care and outpatient clinical nutritional responsibilities, including diabetes education, community education, staff education, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: - 1-2 years previous hospital clinical experience preferred. Education and Training: - Completed Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field and Dietetic Internship. - License, Certification & Registration: - LDN - MA Dietitian/Nutritionist acquired within 9 months of hire. - RD - Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire. Other Requirements: - Must accumulate 15 continuing education hours per year, which are AND & ADA approved. - Must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. - Must present appropriately in leadership role as a health care provider and advocates a healthy lifestyle. - Must have working knowledge of diabetic, cardiac, renal, parenteral/enteral and pediatrics nutrition. - Must have knowledge of computer systems, telephone systems, pagers, and calculators.
