Job Description Summary GE Aerospace is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join our fast-growing Advanced Military Engineering business you will have the opportunity to work on the latest technological advancements and turbine engine designs that will power our military service men and women into the future.

The Large Military Engines Cold Section Engineer Mechanical Design role will primarily support NPI (New Part Introduction) efforts on NGP (Next Generation Products) design, including new part design, component analysis, conducting design reviews, and provide engineering support . This position may also encompass supporting legacy engine engineering support (customer improvement projects, MRB, SPS, CIDs, etc).

This role will build and leverage multiple skill sets including project execution, technical leadership, analysis, design, and hardware ownership.

This position is hybrid-capable, requiring work on-site in Evendale, OH Tuesdays-Thursdays. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required for cold structures (out bypass design) that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and issues
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical, Aero, or other similar degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Design Engineering or Masters of Science degree in Mechanical, Aero, or other similar degree from an accredited university or college
  • Demonstrated experience with jet engine engine structures
  • In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools such as Ansys, Siemens NX, Finite Element Analysis and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Engine design familiarization

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
