Sales and Events Manager Lexington, Kentucky

LexLive Sales & Events Manager Reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) with responsibilities to the Local Sales and Marketing Department & is responsible for, but not limited to: Achieve budgeted revenues and personal sales goals and maximize profitability within all areas of responsibility including Event Contracts and Premier & Fundraising Ticket Sales. Abide by and achieve venue-level sales plans that drive measurable incremental revenue and increase business volume during off peak periods and increase food and beverage banquet sales. Coordinate all Event logistics and details between Client and Sales Office to include final guarantee, private spaces, signed contracts, transportation, check-in, deposits, and final payments. Identify operational problems that impact the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall venue sales performance and work with department heads on solutions. Schedule events and activities at the venue and coordinate with other departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the LexLive Sales Department and prospective clients. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies (Corporations, Schools, Churches, Youth Groups, etc.) to promote new business and increase sales for the venue. Network and maintain communication with outside contacts. Strong reading and writing abilities are utilized often when communicating and when completing contracts, paperwork, and management reports. Utilize strong communication skills when interacting with others that reflects highly on the venue, the brand, and the company. Interact with guests to guarantee their total satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills/Experience: Minimum of one year of Sales/Event Catering experience in a high-volume environment. College degree preferred, however not mandatory. Job Activities: Excellent computer skills and spreadsheet familiarity. Communicate with Operations Team concerning updates in venue events, daily. Schedule and manage Banquet Staff for events. Update the Group Sales Event Calendars and distribute, daily. Coordinate logistics for all events either within the venue or with outside sales events. Reconcile Group Sales deposits and payments with contract and into the POS. Must have flexible availability and be available to work nights, weekends, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
