About the company:
Bayou Bluegrass Catering is a local catering company located near campus off South Broadway. We provide catering to many different types of events such as weddings, greek life formals, corporate tailgates, graduations, and private parties. We also oversee operations for three venues here in Lexington, KY: Copper Roux, Round Barn Stable of Memories, and Limestone Hall. We believe that food is one of the most important parts of any event.

 
 
Overview:
 We are seeking a dynamic and professional Event Bartender to join our team. As an Event Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests at various events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that all guests have a memorable experience.
 Key Responsibilities:

 Beverage Service: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and event specifications. Ensure drinks are made with precision and served promptly.

 Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take drink orders, make recommendations, and address any special requests or concerns.

 Bar Setup and Cleanup: Set up the bar area before the event, including arranging glassware, garnishes, and beverage supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the event and clean up the bar area post-event.

 Inventory Management: Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering and replenishing supplies as needed. Ensure proper handling and storage of alcohol and other bar materials.

 Compliance: Adhere to all local and state alcohol laws and regulations. Verify guest ages to prevent service to minors and ensure responsible alcohol consumption.

 Team Collaboration: Work closely with other event staff to ensure smooth operations and coordination. Communicate effectively with servers, event coordinators, and other team members.
 
Problem Resolution: Handle any issues or conflicts that arise at the bar in a calm and professional manner. Provide solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
 

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Licensed: Must have or be willing to obtain an alcohol handling license.

 Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
 
Appearance: Professional and well-groomed appearance. Adherence to uniform and dress code standards. Uniform shirts will be provided.

 Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
 
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy items, and perform other physical tasks related to bartending.
