CornerStone Staffing is seeking a skilled LOA Coordinator for a top Fortune 500 company, in Arlington, TX.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing LOA cases and be knowledgeable about FMLA, ADA, and all other related employment laws.

Job Title: LOA Coordinator

Pay: $20 - $23 (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Hybrid (3 days a week in office after a period of training)

Location: Arlington, TX

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial interviews with employees to administer leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.) and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Facilitate the assignment of leave case transitions to LOA Specialists for administration throughout the return-to-work process.

  • Communicate with employees regarding the leave process, ensuring they are aware of the qualifications and required documentation to meet leave requirements.

  • Track the leave administration process from the employees’ initial notice of leave, determining leave eligibility/designation, and coordinating required paperwork along with necessary medical leave certification in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.

  • Initiate and facilitate the interactive process as necessary between the employee and the company.

  • Coordinate employee status with payroll to ensure proper accounting of payroll records.

  • Process other leave requests, including military leave, ADA accommodations, workers' comp, disability, and intermittent or reduced work schedules.

  • Preserve the confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files in accordance with HIPAA and Employee Privacy standards.

  • Timely manage employee insurance premiums, including proper accounting or requests for delinquent payments.

  • Maintain the HRIS system to report all leave requests promptly.

  • Stay up-to-date with all applicable leave and accommodation laws, including the FMLA, ADA, state, and local laws.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • REQUIRED: 1+ years of experience managing multistate leave cases (FMLA, ADA, LTD/STD).

  • Knowledge of employee benefits as they relate to leaves of absence, including short/long-term disability, COBRA, state disability, ADA, FMLA, and other applicable laws.

  • Must be able to work independently and within a team, receive little supervision, and prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four - year college or university.

  • Completion of specialized certification or training in FMLA/leave administration.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft and absence management.
