Summary: Amazing opportunity for a Director of Operations to join a dynamic executive team at a non-profit devoted to Educate and Influence People to Prevent Accidental Injury and Death. This role oversees all of the organization’s classroom training coordinators, facilities management, IT and customer service functions.

Daily Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage for accountability of all direct reports

Embrace and follow all EOS activities (Rocks, Scorecards, To-dos, etc....)

Contribute to management level decisions regarding organizational development and coordination of staff and resources in support of Client’s business needs.

Oversight of all operational activities and develop and implement the workflow processes of each major program.

Oversight and assurance to continuous Customer Service in all general business and administrative operations.

Oversight of facility management and the process of communicating with property management team.

High level communications with IT provider and working with other Directors to ensure consistent and constant information flow of all IT activities.

Manage the identification of all functions and features of the Course Management System (CMS) ensuring the most efficient and innovative add-ons for staff and customer journeys.

Manager of the Client Salesforce account to add and delete users and authorize access to needed functions.

Work with the Director of Training & Consultation, provide the administrative oversite of all courses offered through each major program.

Classroom management at Client training facility.

Oversight of Client general business and administrative operations to include selection and procurement of related course materials, equipment, and other resources.

Weekly: Participate in weekly meetings as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Schedule and conduct weekly L10 meetings with all direct reports.

Quarterly : Complete quarterly conversations with all direct reports

Annually: Assist and attend the Annual Expo & Conference.

Participate in annual performance appraisal with Vice President/Integrator.

Conduct annual performance appraisal with all direct reports.

As Needed: Assume oversight/responsibility for other related programs and Client initiatives as needed or developed.

Participate in the development of budgets, projections and monitoring of general business and educational program costs.

Assist, attend and travel to conferences that support Client’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS :

Education/Experience: 4-yr. college degree with Business Management or related field focus preferred.

Minimum Five (5) years business management experience including staff management.

Experience in Occupational Safety and Health field preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered to meet qualifications.

Skills/Abilities: Exemplifies client’s five Core Values

Proven business development, budget administration and operational management skills and experience, including inter-department and staff management

Advanced written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, as well as language skills appropriate to oral presentations and classroom instruction are essential.

Excellent marketing and public relations skills and ability to create/maintain strong working relationships with internal staff, customers, vendors, governmental and other agencies.

Excellent working knowledge of computer and related software, including MSOffice suite, and other business or industry software/program knowledge.

Working knowledge and understanding of occupational safety standards, industry practices and trends preferred.

Working knowledge of grant application and funding process and resources.

Classroom facilitation/instruction helpful, particularly in safety training or related focus.

Valid driver’s license and vehicle and ability/willingness to drive to customer and training sites.

Ability/willingness to work at least 45 hrs./week, as well as hours before or after regular work schedule as needed, including some weekends, to meet business need.
