Job Description:

The Role

As a key member of the University Talent leadership team, you are responsible for service delivery and talent acquisition support ensuring effective and high-quality recruiting services including an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience. The Director, University Talent Recruiting will ensure effective virtual collaboration, manage individual and team performance, and translate business unit hiring objectives to the team to ensure effective service delivery. You will build high trust relationships with leaders and employees and must have an ability to build and oversee end to end recruiting strategies and processes in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key partner to the business unit and HR team; and the successful candidate will have a balance between operational excellence and being client and candidate obsessed.

  • Demonstrated strong effectiveness in leading, managing, and coaching performance and on-going alignment of resources to hiring needs with proven ability to drive execution and achieve results
  • Expert relationship management, influence, and consultative skills to build strong, long-term relationships coupled with the ability to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities and ability to exercise solid judgment in complex situations
  • Mature organizational awareness to manage complexities, agendas, and informal networks to achieve goals
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities and projects under tight timeframes, ability to prioritize conflicting demands and able to organize time and resources to deliver solid and consistent results
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to negotiate and build agreement to reach the best solution
  • Creative problem solver who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills including effective writing skills and the ability to pull together compelling data-based story lines in power point presentations
  • Proven ability to exercise solid judgment in complex situations
  • Demonstrated "executive presence" and ability to effectively present to and interact with senior executives
  • Adept at MS Office suite including Outlook
The Value You Deliver
  • Responsible for all aspects of managing a virtual team, including but not limited to performance management, hiring, coaching, professional development, employee relations, and workload balancing
  • Translate business objectives into specific performance goals for team members providing key feedback on a regular basis
  • Leverage deep recruiting knowledge to develop and implement creative hiring strategies to meet hiring goals across multiple labor markets for both active and passive candidates
  • Build relationships with clients and key stakeholders to effectively influence and facilitate decisions
  • Knowledge of clients, competitors, market positioning and industry trends
  • Participate in specific recruiting and community events, including job fairs and college campus recruiting
