We are looking for a senior GIS Analyst with python experience to assist with developing modern, advanced on premise and cloud-based analytics solutions, incorporating geospatial and big data to create data products that could potentially be marketed to customers. As a GIS Analyst on technical projects, you enjoy working with business customers to design solutions and working with developers through iterative development cycles. Provides independent services and in specialized technical areas. Provides expert advice and assistance in state-of-the art software/hardware solutions involving hardware of various capacities, multiple operating environments, database management systems, specialized software, data communications facilities, fourth generation technologies, and complex software tools or packages. Performs analyses and studies, enhances or implements system software solutions, performs test and acceptance phases. May be required to act as technical point of contact to other personnel who must prepare or modify software to carry out the Technical Specialist's solutions. You understand the importance of following best practices as you develop code, test, debug, and deploy features and capabilities. You are a critical thinker, motivated, and have a passion to coach and guide others. You think outside the box and enjoy researching and proposing innovative ideas. You are articulate and possess excellent presentation skills, capable of sharing ideas and concepts to business and technical staff alike.

Minimum/General Experience: Ten (10) years of information systems development experience including a minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience in the area of expertise (or, if the particular area of expertise is new state-of-the-art technology, the specialized experience may be less than five (5) years and more consistent with the age of the technology).

Minimum Education: A bachelor's degree or 4 years of college from an accredited university in a related field such as Computer Science, Data Processing, etc.
