This position must require the ability to pull and pack orders in a timely manner; stock all items in correct locations using the inventory management software as well as barcode system. This position requires the ability to multi-task and follow standard operating procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Order Picking: 25% of position responsibility.Assigns orders to boxes and prepares for shipment using barcode scannerUsing picks lists, obtains product and pack in appropriate boxOrder Packing: 25% of position responsibilityUse of barcode scanner to pack ordersPacking product in properly sized boxesPrepares and packs products for shipment that require ice products in proper containers (Cold shipment)Load and unload trucks using forklifts and hand jacksOrder Shipping: 25% of position responsibilityPrepare boxes for shipment utilizing FedEx Ship Manager and UPS World ShipInventory: 20% of position responsibilityManually stock inventory and use Great Plains inventory program systems managerComplete Great Plains inventory inquiries and bin transfersOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School degree or equivalent. Six-months related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proven ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to solve general math problems encountered in day to day operationsConsistently displays attention to detail.Proficient in oral and written communications, both internally and externallyAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situationsBeginner ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and E-mailPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitivelyPush/pull up to 80 lbsThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. above headThe ability to work in confined spacesStooping, kneeling, crouching; walking; standing for extended periods of timeStanding for extended periods of timePerform repetitive motions for extended periods of timeWear personal safety protection including safety glassesThe ability to climb ladders or steps on a regular basisWORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical manufacturing warehouse environmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually loudThe Target Pay Range for this position is $17- $22 Hourly.
