Job Title: Configuration Manager

Location: 850 Dryden Way Bldg. 1923 Shaw AFB, South Carolina 29152

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Top Secret SCI

SUMMARY

Coordinate and administer all Configuration Management activities. Formulate procedures for and execute the introduction of changes to engineering documents. Oversee the review of released engineering change data and change documentation activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Submit requirements to renew, update, purchase, and acquire new or existing software or licenses as required to support USAFCENT requirements and systems.

•Prepare configuration documentations and maintain document library IAW with DoD, USAF, USAFCENT and local policies. This includes, but not limited to, the creation and maintenance of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).

•Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM document library. To include creating Rack Elevations, updating floor plans and maintaining software and hardware inventories.

•Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.

•Review, develop and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.

•Schedule audits on CM document library and assist in implementing audit recommendations.

•Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools.

•Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.

•Prepare for and lead all CM meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

•Associates degree in Computer Science or related field OR 4+ years of configuration management experience OR CMII Basics Certification or equivalent certification

•Excellent interpersonal, organization, writing, communicating, and briefing skills. Strong self-starter attitude, team-oriented, and good communication skills are a must. Strong/Natural understanding of and ability to demonstrate the Agile Defense Core Values: Happy, Helpful, Honest, Humble, Hungry, Hustle. Must be well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks, and be adaptable to change to accomplish assignments. Excellent Customer Focus/Satisfaction skills.
