Member Development Consultant

Summary:

The Member Development Consultant will support Pioneers field missionaries by ministering through a variety of means to maximize each one’s efforts in reaching the unreached.

Qualifications:

– Firm commitment to Pioneers’ core values and mission;

– Spiritual maturity and discernment;

– Skill and a propensity toward encouragement and shepherding;

– Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills including excellent listening and reflection skills;

– Strong communication skills both verbal and written;

– Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and other software tools;

– Ability to effectively relate to pastors and missionaries;

– Experience in: overseas ministry (four years of field experience or equivalent); theological training;

mentoring/coaching/debriefing experience;

– Ability to locate in the Orlando area, and work from the Pioneers US home office;

– Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically;

– A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities:

– Maintain personal ministry support account;

– Fully support the goals, direction, and priorities of the Member Development Team;

– Follow through on a variety of responsibilities as requested by the VP of Member Development;

– Interact with sending church pastors or designees about individual mission staff needs;

– Support and log communication with field staff, churches, and leaders;

– Interact with Area and Team Leaders on specific needs that surface;

– Keep leadership informed of further developments and needed action;

– Develop seminars on member development topics as requested;

– Develop and work from an annual ministry plan;

– Debrief members on home assignment.
