Position Summary:

Currently in search of a dynamic and seasoned Corporate Controller to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and punctuality of all financial reporting. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a robust background in both operational and technical accounting, particularly within the security industry. Proficiency in financial software such as WinTeam, as well as standard office tools like Excel and Word, is a must. The Corporate Controller will spearhead financial initiatives, reinforce internal controls, and contribute significantly to the financial decision-making process that aligns with the companys growth objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting operations, including journal entry review, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting.
  • Guarantee precise and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, and prepare financial statements in adherence to official guidelines and regulations.
  • Supervise the preparation of various financial reports, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, reports for regulatory agencies, and management reports.
  • Post-Acquisition Financial Integration and Reporting: Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities into financial structure, ensuring alignment of financial reporting processes, integration of financial systems, and establishment of internal controls for consistent financial reporting across the organization.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, oversee intercompany transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards to facilitate accurate financial reporting and informed decision-making.
  • Lead the budgeting process and offer financial analysis and counsel on all plans, activities, targets, and business drivers.
  • Collaborate closely with IT to maintain the integrity of the accounting system and optimize the use of standard office software.
  • Establish and enforce appropriate accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate audits and timely filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Act as a primary liaison for external auditors; oversee preparation and assistance for all external audits.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, overseeing workload distribution, training, issue resolution, performance evaluations, and fostering an effective team environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a controller capacity within the security industry or similar field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard financial management tools.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record in managing audits, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the security services industry, focusing on both armed and unarmed services.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and implementation of financial management best practices.
