Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting functions including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Service as the company’s credit manager includes the establishment of customer credit limits and customer payment terms and daily management of customer account receivables.
  • Oversee and provide leadership for the accounting team.
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Document the roll shipments on the roll receiving quality log.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing process and the timely issuance of monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare regulatory reporting including the monthly bank borrowing certificate and provide quarterly and annual financial data required for debt covenant compliance.
  • Coordinate the issuance of quarterly and annual financial statements and the filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns in conjunction with outside accounting firm.
  • Handle all annual company regulatory audits including bank level III examination, workman’s compensation, commercial insurance examination and 401(k) plan examination.
  • Manage all banking, financial, external accounting and legal relationships.
  • Obtain and evaluate all lender financial proposals for equipment financing.
  • Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts.
  • Other areas of responsibility: company insurance, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activities, corporate level negations (such as premises, plant, trading, acquisitions and divestments, disposals), major supper/customer/partner relationships, regulatory relationships and strategies, approvals and accreditation.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting or a Masters or Science in Accounting (MSA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Experience in manufacturing required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (General Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Advantzware and Epicor.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Leadership skills to oversee and mentor the accounting team.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking to understand the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations.
  • Experience with internal controls and risk management.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to corporate governance.
