JOB SUMMARY The Commercial Property Manager is responsible for the direct management of a commercial portfolio while providing leadership to a team of commercial maintenance technicians. The Senior Facilities Manager/Commercial Property Manager will support the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of daily facilities activities.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUWork with a "hometown" company that was built in Madison and still operates here almost 40 years laterWork with a dedicated team of Commercial Management professionals with more than 50 years of experienceInternal 1-1 training and future growth opportunityManage a portfolio consisting of office, warehouse, retail, and state of the art lab buildingsOffice at our corporate office, with all managed properties within a short drive (most are in Dane Co)Managing a team of maintenance technicians with an average tenure of more than 8 yearsBenefits401k, health, dental and vision insurance plans, PTO, and moreCompany vehicle, approved to drive home dailyDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Directly manage a commercial portfolio consisting of approx 1MM sf while providing daily oversight of staffPrepare annual operating budgets and continually monitor monthly income and expenses for your portfolioBuild strong relationships with key business stakeholders by monitoring and listening to feedback, developing action plans, and delivering custom reporting for business-critical elementsEstablish and maintain standards and procedures for daily maintenance, as well as, monthly and quarterly inspections and property auditsReports all matters relating to the sites, risks, projects, and budgets to the appropriate cross-functional partnersServes as the primary facilities point of contact for all significant facilities mattersEstablish and develop excellent client relationships to foster growthAnticipate and oversee capital improvements to maintain the integrity of the propertyWork with the brokerage team to extend asset management services to our clientsOther tasks as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Experience in Facilities ManagementExperience creating operating budgetsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and MRI or similar accounting softwareExpertise in understanding financial statements, balance sheets, and income statementsKnowledge and experience with strategic commercial facilities planning and maintenanceValid driver's licenseABOUT OAKBROOK CORPORATIONWe have been proudly serving the Midwest since 1987.
