We have invented the first and only autonomous wheel in the world, and now we want you to join our team. We are expanding globally and are seeking a Robotic Field Engineer to join us in our Newlab @ Michigan Central's Detroit office.

This job requires a unique combination of mechatronics skills, site mapping experience, end-user and site management training ability, customer relationship management, and effective internal and external communication. You will travel extensively (50-75%) to our customers with all expenses paid.

What you will be doing at wheel.me:
  • Deployment of complex robotic solutions, including robotic hardware and software
  • Prepare customer sites for deployments of the wheel.me solution, deploy and test the solution, train the user groups, and support production use of the system until customer acceptance is achieved
  • Map customer sites to create a virtual world for the robots, validate that map, and edit as needed
  • Ensure smooth implementation of the robots on-site working with other Deployment Tech's and Deployment Engineers
  • Assist with on-site infrastructure, robot and software set-up and support during initial system deployment
  • Ensure customer satisfaction while onsite implementing the solution
  • Work directly with engineering teams to implement the robots at customer sites
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the robots on-site by working hand-in-hand with customers after deployment
What you need to bring to wheel.me:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting robotics systems in industrial environments
  • Diverse knowledge and interest in hardware, robotics, and electronics
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to solve problems independently in customer facilities
  • Effective internal and external communication skills
