Position: GM Certified Robotics Engineer

Summary:

The role of a Robotics Engineer is a hands-on technical position that involves the setup, programming, and troubleshooting of robotic systems. Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience along with advanced technical expertise and certifications. This role demands proficiency in programming, industrial electronics, fieldbus systems, machine tooling, process engineering, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and technical aptitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Be prepared for flexible working hours, including potential overtime, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the manufacturing sector's demands.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for the workplace.
  • Complete necessary documentation for customer and internal billing processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications effectively.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable transportation for job-related travel.
  • Be open to extensive travel based on project assignments.
  • Preferred candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in robotics.
  • Load offline programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Be physically capable of performing tasks that include moving around tooling, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders.
  • Lift components weighing at least 25 lbs as required.
  • Communicate any physical limitations during the application process for appropriate accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • GRS Certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and mentor a small team of robotics programmers.
  • Experience in downloading Offline Programs (OLPs).
  • Establish communication with PLC and peripheral devices (Devicenet/Ethernet/Profinet).
  • Set up robot zones and adjust dress packs.
  • Configure robot I/O and perform robot mastering, TCP verification, and payload setup.
  • Conduct auto debugging with PLC and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Implement cycle time reduction and enhance throughput.
  • Experience with various robotic applications such as Spot, Sealing/Dispensing, MIG welding, and more.
  • Familiarity with vision systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Complete all required daily or weekly tasks for processing hours and expenses based on job needs.
