As a Patient Services Coordinator, you'll perform a variety of clerical duties for physicians and clinic staff. Our ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, has experience in a clinical setting, and possesses strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Greet, instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors.

+ Retrieve insurance and patient information, provide forms for tests or interoffice communications, and secure signatures as needed.

+ Enter new and established patient information into the computer.

+ Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments for patients, and dispatch messages and/or calls appropriately.

+ Perform patient care activities within the scope of data entry/processing and patient account functions.

+ Collect payments, answer questions regarding insurance claims, obtaining disability insurance benefits, home health care, medical equipment, surgical care, medical records, and patient referrals.

+ Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and associates in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.

+ Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

+ Education necessary to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

+ Knowledge of business office procedures, medical terminology, and insurance procedures beneficial.

+ Must have computer knowledge, typing skills, and knowledge of basic math.

+ One year experience in a clinic setting beneficial or two years in a public contact position.

+ CPR certification beneficial.

Additional Qualifications:

+ Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.

+ Ability to sort, read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.

+ Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetical, numerical, or color-coded systems.

+ Must display initiative and willingness to accept additional duties in the front office area during absences and adapt to fluctuating workload.

+ Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
