Job Summary

To work as a substitute night shift custodian when needed:
Knowledge of methods of cleaning materials, equipment and supplies used in custodial and cleaning work. Knowledge of school buildings and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of routine hand and power tools.
Ability to follow assigned schedules. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds plus.
Ability to bend, stoop and to reach. Ability to maintain cooperative relations with those contacted in the course of work. Ability to perform work in a safe manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.
SCOPE:
The Custodian performs custodial and maintenance duties in and around campus facilities; troubleshoots, performs minor repairs and responds to emergency calls for service; implements setup and takedown for a wide variety of campus and community events; works closely with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe
operations.

The School of Arts and Enterprise (The SAE), a public Charter School.
