Job Description:

We are seeking a Web Strategy Specialist on the digital marketing team. As a Web Strategy Specialist, you will be responsible for defining viable, feasible, and sustainable solutions that are primed to meet customer needs and deliver in the short and long term. You will prioritize a strong focus on data-minded decisions for web strategy, including connecting the dots among stakeholders and team members involved, finding agile ways of working, and modeling a collaborative spirit. You will help shape the vision, strategy, and roadmap of our web approach, co-creating solutions to maximize value among marketers, communicators, customer engagement professionals, and more internal partners.

What you will work on

You'll be working within the U.S. affiliate's digital marketing team, focusing on leading our holistic web strategy - how we show up online in consistent, coherent ways in keeping with our business pillars and integrated marketing plans. You will manage and publish content on external-facing websites/portals, with a lens on our Marketo landing pages. This includes opportunities to implicitly personalize and target content based on multi-channel engagement.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERING

Deeply connect and understand the customer and business needs and closely partner with stakeholders to develop the strategic direction of their web information and content (inclusive of narrative-style stories)Shape the web roadmap for our U.S. business to quickly deliver the highest-value outcomes for customers, partners, and additional prioritized audiencesDrive co-creation of web vision and strategy, including contribution to the development and implementation of SEO-minded portfolio/product pages, via deep partnership and collaboration with stakeholdersDefine and deliver the future-minded web roadmap and manage the end-to-end web strategy (including continuous discovery and trend analysis), ensuring it delivers tangible and meaningful value aligned with internal and external customer needs and expected outcomes, in keeping with our overarching digital marketing strategy and web/UX principles

LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCE

Lead, manage, and mobilize project teams. Lead and influence in a matrixed environment, creating an environment of teamwork and partnering within the area and across digital marketing, our four core franchises, and communications, among other business areasWork closely with portfolio/product leads and content owners to ensure strategy supports current and future needsConnect and collaborate across our digital marketing team to foster a collaborative spiritLead strategic planning for our web presence with stakeholders, defining and monitoring KPIs and OKRs alongside our measurement managerCo-create strategic vision with IT and commercial insights partners, adding value with that to help continuously improve business processes and solutionsManage the long-term product roadmap for multiple products within the product line.Interact with affiliate franchise partners and global web product owners, to understand business needs and influence product roadmapsSeek opportunities to create additional value and improve business processes and outcomesDetermine business criticality and product quality. Define, in collaboration with other Agile Release Train members, service levels, governance and operational support.Be responsible for evaluating content concepts and requests for partnership, as well as emerging trends in industry-topical content and general content marketingLead or coordinate technical discussions and vendor interactions as neededPrioritize a local-plus-global mindset and strong inter-affiliate connections

Roles and Responsibilities:

Be the primary web strategy SME for the four core franchises - Core Lab, Point of Care, Molecular and Pathology Labs - and for functions including but not limited to communicationsProvide marketers and stakeholders with strategic guidance in the ideation, formation and execution of web-centric portions of their integrated marketing plansPromote collaborations to ensure cross-team collaboration, effectiveness and efficienciesPartner with the tech activation lead and all digital developers to ensure timely execution of plansBuild and foster a global-to-local network that enables co-creation and an inclusive mindsetPartner with analytics teammates to measure, report and optimize web projects and content plans, increasing digital marketing effectivenessEnable and support collaborations with vendors as appropriateServe as a strong ambassador for the Roche brand and its standardsDeliver on user experience-centric web display that informs and delights the end userSupport adoption of enterprise and local tech platforms/solutionsRemain current in digital marketing capabilities and competenciesPromote digital marketing's value and impact to enhance the team's reputationTravel occasionally as needed (perhaps 1-2 times annually)

Discern with a solutions mindset at all timesDrive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class web presentationProvide accurate business context and receive feedback on the feasibility of implementation based on web capabilitiesConduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams throughout the processCraft a web vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategyIdentify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities with web development partnersPartner with web development and IT partners to manage backlog of needs and capabilities desiredPartner with executive team to identify key capabilities needed, as well as potential issuesPartner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritizationWork with marketing and communications partners to develop positioning and messaging that ensure differentiation from competitorsMonitor and evaluate performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement

What you need to be successful

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skillsMinimum of five to eight years of experience in digital product management or similar roleStrong analytical, prioritization, organization and negotiating skillsExperience in UX/UI principled design, with the end user's journey front of mind alwayspassion for building great content to solve customer and business problemsExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand subject matter and emerging technologies that are sometimes complex and technicalbility to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong acumen and appetite for data analysis, to always elevate based on findingsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field
