Overview:
Encantado Technical Solutions is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator - Intern.
In this position you will work with a team that provides computing capabilities and in-depth support for various applications. The team builds and maintains user environments, delivers subject matter expert support, and application-level software and tools to our clients.
Responsibilities:
In this position you will:
Perform Linux Administration duties
Perform installations and patching of Linux operating systems
Assist customers with the installation and updates of applications
Install software and troubleshoot software install issues
Monitor systems and preform hardware troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance and security updates
Perform system backups and provide data recovery
To accomplish this, you will need a background in Linux administration and issue resolution along with hardware/software troubleshooting skills. And finally, the ability to gain knowledge and understanding of best practices and IT operations.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
High School Diploma/GED is required for this position.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
Ability to work up to 30 hrs/wk.
Experience with system administration of Linux desktops, including building, configuring, patching, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity or experience with system administration of Linux servers running RHEL and Ubuntu OS, including building, configuring, patching and troubleshooting.
Experience with application support.
Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
