DUTIES:
The Occupational Health Medical Surveillance Examination Services Specialist/Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Safeguarding the health and safety of employees exposed to occupational hazards.
- Design and manage medical surveillance programs.
- Conduct health assessments, and monitor employees' health status.
- The specialist ensures compliance with regulations, communicates findings to employees, and collaborates with healthcare providers.
- Periodic Occupational Health Exams.
- Respirator Medical Certification.
- Respirator Fit Testing.
- Vision Testing.
- Audiometric Testing.
- Laboratory Testing.
- Initial Medical Qualification Exams.
- Functional Capacity Exam.
- A bachelor's degree in occupational health, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field is typically required. (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in occupational health, medical surveillance, or employee health monitoring is highly beneficial.
- Background in healthcare, workplace safety, or public health may have an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
