Major Function The Market Research Analyst will support the Ditch Witch Division in its efforts to assess market opportunities and compete effectively in the marketplace through analytical thought leadership and the strategic planning processes. The Market Research Analyst I works on projects/matters of limited complexity or scope in a support role to substantiate business opportunities by assessing geographical market data, leveraging internal and external business relationships, and applying industry knowledge and analytics through CRM and BI tools. Work is closely managed. The Market Research Analyst II works to substantiate business opportunities by assessing geographical market data, leveraging internal and external business relationships, and applying industry knowledge and analytics through CRM and BI tools. This team member will be responsible for opportunity analysis and presentation, strategy development, creation of standardized analytical processes and reports. This position will also lead with forecasting by establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics platforms and solutions to the business’s key stakeholders. Self-directed in several aspects of the work. The Market Research Analyst III works to substantiate business opportunities by assessing geographical market data, leveraging internal and external business relationships, and applying industry knowledge and analytics through CRM and BI tools. This team member will be responsible for opportunity analysis and presentation, strategy development, creation of standardized analytical processes and reports. This position will also lead with forecasting by establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics platforms and solutions to the business’s key stakeholders. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Track business insights and opportunities, and provide robust analytical data discovery and validation Hands-on development of reports, related documents and dashboards generated to support strategy Monitor and enhance pipeline of primary and secondary research into CRM or other BI platforms Support intelligence distribution activities including custom BI reports, presentations, webinars and senior level documentation Act as a Business Intelligence resource responsible for Business Intelligence report distribution to Company Support short and long-term volume forecasting by product line Data preparation (sourcing, acquisition, integration), reporting, analytics, data exploration Information delivery and reporting to internal audiences Decipher relationships and identify high-level insights from geographical data and other primary and secondary research data and develop associated strategies to support Sales, Marketing and other key departments Participate actively in multi-department or company-wide BI initiatives designed to meet shared company goals, including project ownership, documentation, testing and implementation. To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Level I Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, marketing, applied mathematics or other analytically quantitative discipline (10 years experience without) 0-2 years related experience Intermediate to advanced MS-Office skills. Power BI desktop experience preferred. Level II Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, marketing, applied mathematics or other analytically quantitative discipline 2-5 years of related professional experience Intermediate to advanced MS-Office skills. Power BI desktop experience preferred. Ability to set and achieve analytical and project objectives with minimal supervision, exhibit initiative, intensity and motivation. Level III Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, marketing, applied mathematics or other analytically quantitative discipline. Master’s degree a plus. 5 or more years of professional experience Advanced MS-Office and Power BI skills Ability to set and achieve analytical and project objectives with minimal supervision, exhibit initiative, intensity and motivation A record of supporting a team’s analytical needs Proven ability to work on a team crossing all organizational levels and functional areas.
