Job Description:
Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our client's team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, specifically those valued at $20 million or more. Our client specializes in a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure project success from start to finish.
Manage the construction schedule and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate and detailed daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
Monitor and manage project budgets and resource allocation.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
Proven experience managing projects valued at $20 million or more, with a focus on education, healthcare, multi-family, and mixed-use sectors.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites in Raleigh and surrounding areas.
