Relationships

  • Reports to - Superintendent


Role Purpose

The Assistant Superintendent will assist in the coordination and scheduling of multiple construction teams, help determine construction requirements and ensure that subcontract work meets required specifications.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the project schedule under the guidance of the site Superintendent and continuously communicating with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Oversee field staff on assigned project.
  • Ensure the bulletin board display is kept up to date with required notices, permits, labor department bulletins and Thomas Construction Group special notices.
  • Ensure all crews are adhering to Thomas safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with submitting Daily Logs, pictures and other necessary documentation in Procore.
  • Attend and participate at pre-construction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work; ensure adherence to Thomas standards of workmanship and plan of work.
  • Review project progress, cost reports, schedules and requirements for completion.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years related construction experience + internships.
  • OSHA 30 training preferred.
