Description: Our client is currently looking for a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent with a solid background in managing ground-up construction projects valued over $20M, ensuring successful project completion within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the on-site project lead and primary point of contact with owners, architects, and engineers, overseeing daily construction activities.
  • Develop solutions for construction issues and maintain active communication with the project management team during solution implementation.
  • Provide monthly written progress reports to the project management team.
  • Document jobsite conditions and work progress regularly.
  • Interpret architectural, civil, and engineering plans and specifications.
  • Liaise with permitting agencies to secure necessary permits and schedule inspections.
  • Manage project scheduling, develop short-term lookahead schedules, and ensure adherence to the master project schedule by all subcontractors.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize rework and ensure high standards throughout the project.
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking and managing costs related to rental equipment, labor, supplies, and incidental expenses.
  • Uphold safety standards, ensuring subcontractor compliance with all relevant safety codes and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant superintendents and other project staff.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of completing commercial construction projects valued at $20M+.
  • At least 15-20 years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong capability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Proficient in construction software and strong computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel and accept remote assignments as needed.
  • Familiarity with LEAN construction practices and LEED Green Building standards is beneficial.
  • OSHA-30 Certification is required.
