Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. ARMY INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY COMMAND, U.S. ARMY OPERATIONS GROUP, FORT MEADE, MD. Responsibilities Serve as Supervisory Security Manager for the United States Army Operations Group (USAOG) responsible oversight of collateral, and sensitive compartmented information (SCI). Apply regulations and guidelines related to securing personnel, facilities and protecting classified information. Administer and evaluate the security program, encompassing all aspects of security to include: physical, technical, industrial information, force protection, communications, personnel information, emergency preparedness, and loss prevention. Provide technical and security guidance to military, government, civilian, and contract personnel to aid the implementation and oversight of command elements in security matters. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 that prepared you to do this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing, maintaining and resolving difficult and complex security problems relating to information, technical and physical security programs. This experience should encompass two or more of the following disciplines: Physical Security, Information Security and/or Personnel Security in accordance with Intelligence Security regulations. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Physical Security Security Security Program Management Technical Security Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
