As a SUPERVISORY INVESTIGATOR you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Responsible for the oversight, planning and supervision of staff assigned to the work unit, to include assignment of work, oversight of staff, review of work products, resource management, approval of time and attendance and travel, drafting of performance plans and standard operating procedures and all related supervisory functions.
  • Plans and participates in complaints, inquiries, and/or investigations to ensure full coverage of all items relative to the operational effectiveness of the core missions' programs.
  • Conducts or directs appropriate inquiries, ensuring that the rights of the individual(s) and the best interests of the agency are protected. Reviews inquiries or investigation results for completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyzes complaints, inquiries, and/or investigative results to determine systemic problems and root causes and recommends corrective actions and process improvements to the DCSA IG and DCSA managers.
  • Manages the extensive, in-depth analyses of laws, government regulations, and DoD Directives relative to investigative inquiries, complaints, and investigations.
  • Reviews changes to DCSA regulations, policies, and procedures, maintains administrative data, conducts liaison with other Offices of Inspector General, researches and writes correspondence with short term due dates for the Director and DCSA Inspector General.
  • Represents the Office of the Inspector General at conferences and meetings and provides "teaching and training" to DCSA employees as part of the OIG's core responsibilities.
