Reporting to the Director, Business Development Operations, the Manager of NCCN Commercial Licensing and Permissions will oversee and manage the NCCN Commercial Licensing & Permissions program. This includes US and Global permissions as well as operations management of the NCCN translation and translation verification program. The Manager will be responsible for achieving operational excellence in the permissions process while protecting the interests of NCCN as well as motivating a team to achieve business goals.

Requirements

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Management

  • Manage the NCCN Commercial Licensing & Permissions process to increase team productivity and customer service levels while protecting the integrity of NCCN brand.
  • Identify and streamline permissions processes, reduce cycle times, and develop SOPs for Licensing (contracting) and Permissions processes.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, to continuously improve Licensing and Permissions processes and systems to achieve program goals.
Coaching/Troubleshooting:
  • Oversee and delegate daily Permission assignments and generate Permissions Aging Report.
  • Serve as resource for Permissions staff throughout the workday to answer questions and work through atypical requests and situations.
  • Review Permissions staff productivity reports and provide feedback and coaching to individual team members.
Customer Relationship Management/Issue Resolution:
  • Oversee and assist team in conducting annual Permissions 101 webinar and customer-specific training presentations as requested.
  • Serve as primary liaison with industry and other NCCN Permissions customers for direct questions and issue escalations.
  • Support Corporate Council account managers in meetings with industry as needed.
Revenue/Profitability Optimization
  • Identify new opportunities for revenue growth within Commercial Licensing and Permissions (e.g., converting project licenses into annual licenses, pricing optimization, etc.).
  • Assist Director and Finance in development of Commercial Licensing and Permissions program revenue forecasts and budgets with accountability for achieving revenue and profitability goals.
Other
  • Manage and oversee the operations of translations and translation verifications related to permissions requests and NCCN Guidelines, including translation vendor management.
  • Triage general inquiries submitted to Permissions Inbox and respond to requestors' inquiries.
  • Perform other Business Development related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 4-7 years' experience in health care, advertising agency, or medical publishing
  • 2-3 years' experience in a management role
  • Supervisory, team leadership, and staff development experience required
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working independently and in groups in a collegial manner, including cross functional teams and internal/external networking
  • Contracting experience required
  • Oncology experience preferred
