Dental, health, vision Weekly Pay Sick time Scheduling Options:M-F 8:30am-4:00pm (no weekends)Job Type: Contract with potential to be brought on permanently Job Title: Patient Access Specialist Pay: $20-22/hr Available Location(s): Philadelphia, PA OverviewResponsible for checking patients in for appointments and accurately verifying demographicsAssures all check-in procedures are completed and monitors patient wait times, communicating changes to the patient as necessaryReads and interprets insurance responsesUnderstands general guidelines and insurance rank requirement to properly assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance per encounterEnsures patient receives necessary disclosure and privacy information, as well as obtains necessary legal and financial signaturesCommunicates financial obligations to patients and collects fees at time of service as appropriateCommunicates the purpose of and completes all necessary regulatory forms with patientCompletes patient's visit by scheduling any necessary follow up appointments to include any specialty or ancillary services as possibleProcesses multi-channel messages related to patient and/or physician requests regarding: appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaintsNotifies patient or guarantor of anticipated financial responsibility including copays, deductibles, or coinsurances, and collects accordinglyPerforms cash posting following department guidelinesAbides by organizational and HIPAA guidelines, privacy practices, patient confidentiality, and patient rightsMust maintain high regard for confidentialityAccurately performs medical record maintenance and releasesAssists with referrals and pre-certifications, at the time of encounterProperly utilizes and maintains patient recall and reschedule listsRequirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Must have experience with insurance verification and authorization / pre certComfortable ordering diagnostic testingBasic medical terminologyExperience in high volume environments Apply today
