We are seeking a Loan Operations Specialist to join our Lending department.
Loan Operations Specialists assist in all areas of loan operations. Backs up multiple job duties. Answers phone calls from customers and employees. Assists co-workers with departmental duties and special projects. Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.
Day-to-day job duties include: Maintain secured loan collateral records, ensuring that the credit union's interest in collateral has been secured on new and existing loans. File temporary liens and collaborate with the appropriate titling entities and members to resolve any issues with securing credit for the credit union's interest in collateral. Contact members to ensure the proper insurance is maintained on collateral and process force-placed insurance coverage and removal. Order appraisals as needed for Home Loans. Help with annual escrow analysis, homeowners' insurance, and property taxes.
This position will be based out of our Main Office located in Nashville. Hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Compensation: Begins at a minimum of $20.00/hourly

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively and multi-task in a high-volume environment.
- A strong working knowledge in PC applications specifically MS Word and Excel with the ability to move swiftly and accurately between multiple applications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in consumer loans and mortgage loans preferred.
