Strategic Partnership and Growth Specialist

for the Global Fund for Widows will play a crucial role in fostering partnerships, securing funding, and expanding our initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with key US government (Specifically, USAID, USDA, PEPFAR, and other global initiatives), Multilateral organizations, and other government stakeholders, promoting the organization's mission, writing grants, and securing funding support to enhance our programs for widows globally. Key Responsibilities: Government Relationship Building and Management (10%): · Develop and maintain relationships with key government agencies, officials, and decision-makers to promote the mission and objectives of the Global Fund for Widows. · Stay informed about government funding opportunities and policy developments relevant to the organization's initiatives. · Attend critical meetings that are specific to new partners' initiatives. Proposal Writing (40%): · Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals for US government and multilateral grants and funding opportunities. · Ensure proposals align with government priorities and showcase the organization's impact and effectiveness. Grant Management (10%): · Develop organizational systems and capacities to manage US government funding. · Oversee the administration of government grants, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements and deadlines. · Work closely with finance and program staff to track and report on the use of government funds. Strategic Planning (20%): · Contribute to developing the organization's strategic plan, focusing on government engagement and funding opportunities. · Provide insights and recommendations on enhancing the organization's positioning to secure government support. Advocacy and Representation (20%): · Work with GFW Advocacy staff to organize meetings and events in global locations. · Represent the Global Fund for Widows in meetings, conferences, and events with government partners. · Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the organization's goals and objectives. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in business, international relations, public administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. · Proven experience in business development, government relations, or a related field. · Strong understanding of government funding mechanisms and grant management. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team environment. · Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the Global Fund for Widows.
